Australia is a virgin country. There are numerous National Parks. The Sydney area, the most populous region, is no exception to this. The city is surrounded by parks. We had been at the beginning of stay in the Blue Mountains NP.
Before arriving in Sydney, we went through the Royal National Park. It is the oldest national park in the world after Yellowstone. After passing through lush subtropical forest, we arrived at a beautiful beach surrounded by cliffs. Very few people and yet it is the holidays. You might think the other side of the world. Uh yeah, that's exactly it.

Really, we prefer to stay in the wild that to use bitumen cities. Before leaving Australia we decide to go to a park an hour from Sydney: the Ku-Ring-Gay Chase NP. We cross the city and its suburbs more or less easily and very quickly, we find the forest. Upon arrival at the park, we fulfill our $ 11. It's the only one we have paid the entry fee without ever trying to jump the queue. The French have a very bad reputation and we would not want to feed it (In Australia the "French shopping" is the shoplifting !!).
We are going directly to West Heas Lookout to admire the view. Our picnic that day that showed very frugal but not uninteresting since we met Joanna. As a little later, there were eagles, I wonder if Bernard and Bianca was not in the corner. Joanna is actually Varanus varius, the second largest lizard of Australia and the fifth largest in the world. If it is called in French Varan Calico, a more generic Australian monitor lizards called goannas. So Joanna the goanna who posed for us.
And besides it climbs tree; much less so cute koalas
In these tropical forests there is the incessant noise of the cicadas. This is a loud and deafening noise caused by giant grasshoppers, far removed from the song of their Provençal counterparts.
There are also other animals
There are even more normal animals
And we become party under a blazing sun. First a plateau overlooking the canopy and the way that tumbles into the ocean through the rainforest. Along the way rocks carved by Aborigines.
After three kilometers, we arrived at Resolute Beach. It was nice on this holiday and this summer we end.

Thing does not hurt, I'll say something about the trip. Back in Australia ended up an event: the trip. It all starts at the airport at 8am. We make the car. The refund is as simple as starting where there is hardly looked at my French driving license and not that of the second driver. If I talk about the car, it is to underline that we have gone through many toll areas particularly in the Sydney area and we did not pay anything. In Australia the toll is as in Norway, ie the car is automatically recorded by cameras (If we did that in France, it would reduce somewhat the caps). In Norway, Hertz sent me the bill (small compared to French tolls), but here in Australia, anything (PS The bill 55 euros arrived two months later).
Quantas then we took him to Hong Kong-. Theft is still long: 10am. We fly over huge forests and fires and the Australian desert. Large all straight tracks, rivers dried up, then it becomes very cloudy, approaching the northern hemisphere: the wet season.
In Hong Kong it's winter and 17h, it is night. With just under 6 hour layover and luggage by road only Sydney-Paris, we take a wild bet to spend some time in town. Given that the output of an A380 take a little time boarding for Paris takes place one hour before takeoff, he must guard safety margins, it takes the path, we expect to spend an hour in the center.
The passage of the Chinese police is extremely fast. In on minute only, we have our visa for four months. Then we take the local RER in less than thirty minutes puts us in the center of Hong Kong. So two hours we spend in the former British colony, before resuming our subway to the airport.
We had not prepared this stop and we got a bit lost in the city. This part of Hong Kong is like La Défense with cars. Urban expressways are traversable only by bridges and the Hong Kong pedestrians pass her time up and down. But is he has a lot of pedestrians? It was out of office. The shops in this part of China, are the same as Paris, London, New York. The towers are illuminated dynamically so as to make a light and changing landscape. Drawings form on buildings. The trolley and tram decker give a very British side to the city. Driving on the left, the sequence of traffic lights and signal allowing pedestrians to pass reminded Australia that had remained was further south.
We left this city so westernized by RER ultra modern and have ironed checkpoints at the airport at the same speed as the output. After a very long flight Air France this time we brought him back to Paris.
The total trip to my house lasted 33 hours !!
